Kinley Tenzin- Director of Social Enterprise
Kinley Tenzin, Director of Social Enterprises at the Youth Development Fund, is passionate about sustainable, socially responsible business models. With a Master's in Social Entrepreneurship from Macquarie Business School, he has co-founded three ventures, including Bhutan's first 24x7 convenience store. Experienced in project design, management, and enterprise development, Kinley balances his professional life with entrepreneurial pursuits. He enjoys management podcasts, graphic design, and nature. Dorji Ohm- Secretary General of YDF
Aum Dorji Ohm, the secretary general of the Bhutan Youth Development Fund and the chair of the National Action & Coordination Group of the South Asia Initiative to End Violence Against Children, holds a postgraduate certificate in English Language and Literature from Thames Valley University, London. In addition to her practice of pranic healing, she enjoys yoga, meditation, reading, writing, trekking, social work, and design. Her profound passion for sustainable textiles, handcrafted natural products, and empowering women and children is core to the mission of the DrukVana.

Dechen Choden - Sales Representatives
Dechen Choden is an independent, self-motivated sales representative at DrukVana, with a strong sense of purpose and a deep understanding of her role. She excels in communication and building strong, lasting relationships with clients.Passionate about creativity, Dechen enjoys using natural dyes, colors, and fibers in craft activities, believing that innovation rooted in nature can shape the future.
Her dedication, coupled with her enthusiasm for eco-conscious practices, makes her a valuable asset to the DrukVana sales team, where she continues to inspire and connect with clients.
Dorji Zangmo- Design & Handcrafting
Dorji Zangmo, a mother of two, is a skilled craftswoman with extensive training in handcrafting natural products. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating unique designs, Dorji brings creativity and precision to every piece she makes. Though not formally trained in design, her innate talent and dedication have made her a true innovator, inspiring others through her craftsmanship.
Wangmo – Head of Weaving
Aum Wangmo earns herself the title as a “master Weaver” with over five decades of weaving. Weaving is her first love, passion,many times her refuge and her solace. She finds her freedom in the loom. Having never gone to school does not disable her to tell her stories and inspiration through her weaves.
“It is in my loom where I find myself,” Aum Wangmo says. Aum, Wangmo educated her three children. A teacher, hotel manager and an engineer.
Namsey Dema-Design & Handcrafting
Namsey Dema, a young and dynamic individual from Geda village, is highly skilled in hand stitching, hand crafting, and wool felting. With a deep passion for design, she brings creativity and energy to her work. Skilled in pattern making, Namsey is responsible for creating new designs at the DrukVana. Her joy and dedication to her craft inspire those around her.
Karma Lhazom- Head of Natural Dyeing
Ms. Karma Lhazom, born and raised in Zhemgang, surrounded by abundant flora and fauna, is a highly skilled weaver renowned for the exceptional quality of her fabrics. Her deep passion for natural dyeing is equally remarkable, with extensive knowledge and expertise in the dyeing process and a keen eye for color.
Her work as the Head of Natural Dyeing reflects her dedication to preserving traditional techniques while embracing the beauty of nature. Through her mastery in both weaving and natural dyeing, Karma Lhazom has made significant contributions to the preservation and enhancement of Bhutanese textile art.
Karma Chenzom- Weaver
Aum Karma Chenzom is a highly skilled weaver with a deep passion for both weaving and natural dyeing. She began weaving at the age of 12 and has since honed her craft, becoming an expert in the field. As a mother of one, Aum Karma brings a wealth of experience and a diverse set of weaving skills from the southeastern part of Bhutan. Her expertise enriches our center, offering a unique perspective on the weaving culture of her community.
Tashi Choki- Weaver
Aum Tashi Choki, a skilled artisan from Pemagatshel, is renowned for her calm and mindful nature. With years of experience, she has mastered weaving on all types of looms and is proficient in various techniques. For Aum Tashi, the loom is not just a tool but a place of peace and connection, where she weaves stories through her art. Despite having no formal education, her craft speaks volumes, passing on the rich traditions of weaving to future generations.
